Kids getting into the race car at the Boy’s & Girl’s Club

The Race to End Bullying Foundation spoke with kids K-12 about the importance of lifting each other up. There is always a way you can help whether it be by telling a trusted adult, telling the bully to stop, or making a new friend with the victim. We never know what someone is going through and should never assume that they will take it as a joke. Anytime we say something to make people laugh at another person we are in the wrong. Whenever we join the laughter or add a new line to the “joke” we are in the wrong. I shared one of my goals with these kids; to make every person I encounter smile. Whether that be a compliment, an invite to play or hangout, or even smiling at them first in the hallway. Each of these could make someone’s entire day. Change your perspective and step into the shoes of another. There is always something we can do to help and it starts with you.
